What is the GeoBlitz country quiz?
The country quiz is the main GeoBlitz challenge: name as many countries as you can and watch the map fill in as you answer. It is designed for fast recall, visual learning, and repeated practice without an account.
Unlike a plain list quiz, the map gives immediate feedback. Empty regions show what you have forgotten, while completed regions make progress feel visible.
Why use a map-based country quiz?
A map-based country quiz trains memory and location together. You are not only learning names; you are also building a mental picture of where each country sits relative to its neighbours.
This is especially useful for regions where many countries are close together, such as Europe, the Caribbean, West Africa, and Southeast Asia.
Practice tips
- Start in count-up mode to remove pressure, then use countdown mode once you know the map better.
- Practise one continent at a time before trying the full world quiz.
- Use the missed-country reveal to decide what to practise next.
