How does the Daily Challenge work?
Each day a mystery country is chosen. Type any country name and press Guess β you'll see if you're on the same continent, which compass direction to head, and whether your guess comes earlier or later alphabetically. You have 6 guesses to identify it.
Is GeoBlitz completely free?
Yes. GeoBlitz is free to play with no account required. Just open the game and start playing.
Does it work on mobile and tablet?
Yes. GeoBlitz is designed to work on desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile. The map supports touch gestures for zooming and panning. Typing modes work best on devices with a keyboard.
How many countries are included?
GeoBlitz covers 197 countries including microstates like Vatican City, Monaco, San Marino, and Liechtenstein, as well as island nations across the Pacific and Caribbean.
Does it accept alternate country names?
Yes. Common alternatives are accepted β for example "UK" for United Kingdom, "Turkey" for TΓΌrkiye, "Holland" for Netherlands, and "Burma" for Myanmar.
Are high scores saved?
Yes. Your best score for each mode, region, and difficulty combination is saved locally in your browser.
What is Blitz difficulty?
Blitz gives you half the time of a normal game β roughly 10 minutes for the entire world. It's designed for players who already know their geography well and want a fast challenge.
How does Border Chain work?
Two countries are highlighted in blue on the map β your start and end points. Type the names of countries that share land borders to build a path connecting them. You can work inward from either end. The chain completes automatically when your two sides meet. After each puzzle you can see how your route compares to the shortest possible path, with shared countries highlighted in green.
