How the capital cities quiz works
Instead of typing country names, you type capital cities. Each correct capital lights up the matching country, so you practise capitals while still seeing the world map.
This is useful because many capital quizzes become disconnected from location. GeoBlitz keeps the map visible so you learn both facts together.
Why capitals are hard
Some capitals are not the largest or most famous city in their country. Others have multiple accepted spellings or historical variants. GeoBlitz accepts many common alternatives where appropriate.
Practice tips
- Learn capitals by region before attempting the world set.
- Separate famous cities from official capitals where they differ.
- Use Country + Capital mode after you know the basic capitals.
